Some wounds are invisible, yet they leave scars on the heart that never fade. Zakaria, a young man, fled to Lebanon seeking safety, only to later decide to return to his homeland. He never knew that his return would mark the beginning of his forced disappearance into the darkness of prison. There, he endured the worst forms of torture, moving from one security branch to another, until he was ultimately sentenced to life imprisonment for a crime he never committed.
Zakaria spent four years in prison, while his wife struggled alone, borrowing money just to keep their children alive. He was released last December, but he still carries the marks of torture on his body and the pain of teeth shattered by his captors' brutality.
Today, Zakaria needs a helping hand to reclaim his life.
