I lost my 10-year-old brother in the earthquake.
Typically, in our scholarship program, we assess students primarily based on their academic achievements. Nevertheless, this year, as we delved into their narratives, a profound sense of sadness washed over us, as we empathized with the pain and hardship they had endured.
The students' academic performance had noticeably declined, primarily attributed to the challenges they faced in the aftermath of the earthquake. Consequently, we recognized the need for significant adjustments and a complete overhaul of the evaluation system.
Ribah, a student, tragically lost her ten-year-old brother, Mahmoud, in the earthquake. Her father suffered a leg injury, rendering him unable to work, and her tuition fee stands at $715. Instead of turning her away, we pledged our support and vowed to expedite her scholarship application, sharing her story to ensure her funding promptly.
Your generous donation to the campaign for earthquake-affected students will offer them vital relief during these challenging times as their stories are heart-wrenching.
