Aisha is a little girl who has endured pain and hardship from a very young age. She was born with a meningeal mass, which was later removed, and had a ventriculoperitoneal shunt placed to drain excess fluid from her brain. Her struggles were not just with displacement and poverty but also with her health condition.
However, her suffering did not end there. A few days ago, her shunt stopped working , leading to a severe meningitis infection. This required urgent surgery to replace the shunt once again.
Aisha has now been in the hospital for 12 days, and the cost of her medications is beyond what her family can afford. They have been living on debt for a long time and can no longer bear the financial or emotional burden.
