Amani is a widowed woman, like many Syrian women who lost their husbands during the war, left behind to struggle for the sake of their children. She carries in her heart both the pain of loss and the harshness of life. Amani lives with her children in a very small room, without windows or any source of light, surrounded by damp and crumbling walls. Yet, she did not give up. She took on the responsibility of her children and her home, working in homemade food production to earn a living. Let us be Amani’s support, now that she has lost the only support, she once had.
