Najah, a young girl, lives with cerebral atrophy and recurrent infections that flare with every cold wave, often accompanied by seizures that cause her to lose consciousness. She has a single functioning kidney, which quietly sustains her life. Her father works daily labor but cannot afford her medication or even the ultrasound scans doctors require, while her mother watches helplessly as her daughter writhes in pain, able only to pray. In a nearly collapsed home, Najah battles her illness, waiting for a helping hand before her only kidney fails her completely.
