From Prison Torture to Daily Pain – Help Sumer Stand Again

Sumer was arrested in 2018 and spent three years in the Palestine Branch. He came out carrying memories that will never forget the pain – but with a spirit that still insists on standing up again. In detention, Sumer was subjected to intense torture, which left him with thrombophlebitis (a blood clot and inflammation in the veins). Since then, his leg has been in constant pain, limiting his ability to walk and to work. He now needs monthly treatment, which has become an extra burden on top of everything he already endures each day. Despite illness, financial hardship, and the weight of his past, Sumer still believes that a sincere helping hand can restore some of the stability he needs – so he can stand on his feet again and return to his children with a greater ability to live, not just survive.
