When a moment turns a lifetime

Since the accident he suffered, Bilal’s life has been turned upside down. A fall onto his head in a swimming pool caused a spinal cord injury at the level of the fifth and sixth vertebrae. Despite being transferred to hospitals in Turkey and attempts at treatment, his condition did not improve, and he now suffers from quadriplegia that has left him unable to move and in constant need of care. The family lives in a rented home consisting of two simply furnished rooms, and the rent is paid with outside assistance. There is no breadwinner for the family, and with young children who have been deprived of education due to the difficult living conditions, they rely on limited support to secure the basics of life. The suffering of Bilal and his family is beyond what they can bear, and today they are in urgent need of someone to stand by them. Let us be their support and help.
