A fire that wiped out a family’s shelter.

After years of displacement, Satouf returned with his family to their village hoping to start a new life. Instead, they found their home nearly destroyed. He tried to repair what remained to shelter his children, but on a harsh winter day a fire broke out due to a leak from the heating fuel, consuming what was left of the house and everything the family owned. The family survived the fire, but they lost their home, their clothes, and all their provisions. The father now finds himself unable to replace what was lost and is forced to live with his family in a small, crowded room at a relative’s house. Today, this family needs a helping hand to restore some sense of safety and ease the hardship they have endured.
