Malak has been battling breast cancer, which has recently progressed despite undergoing surgery and a prolonged course of treatment. After a mastectomy and chemotherapy, the tumors reappeared and her condition advanced to a more severe stage, requiring further operations and ongoing intensive therapy.
As her health deteriorates, she is no longer able to continue working as before, which has added financial strain to the burden of illness. She also lives with constant concern for her daughters’ future and anxiety about what lies ahead.
