One of the main traditions of Eid Al Adha is the sacrifice of livestock and the distribution of their meet to the poor. For many families, this is the only time of the year that they get to taste meal. With the collapse of the Syrian currency, lack of employment opportunities, and the continuation of the deterioration of humanitarian conditions of displaced people in Syria, the following areas will be targeted in our annual sacrifice (Udhiya) campaign: northern and eastern countryside of Aleppo, Darat Azza and the western countryside of Aleppo, Idlib city and its countryside, and Latakia countryside. Displaced, vulnerable, and needy families will be prioritized in meat distribution.
The price of one Udhiya including distribution is $220 for sheep and $1500 for cow. Seven people can contribute in the sacrifice of a cow.
There will be an option to document the performance of the sacrifice by video, to be sent to the donor upon completion.
