On September 7, 2021, a Syrian regime's missile fragment hit Joud Shreet in her heart and killed her dream at 21 years of age, just one week after finishing her BA in Psychology. Joud’s dream was born one year ago when she decided to open up a K-4 school in Idlib province, Syria. She worked day and night to make the school a reality and to make it one of a kind: Joud created the first nonprofit school to follow a Montessori method and help kids growing up during the war learn while having fun and enjoying a break from their cruel reality. While undertaking college coursework in this cruel reality herself, Joud conceived and created her school from scratch. It became an immediate success, prompting her to flip an admin space into an extra classroom for additional interested students. Joud Shreet meaningfully impacted 140 children through her school, children who carry forth her vision toward a better future for Syrian children. This fundraiser intends to keep Joud’s dream alive and expand her impact on the children who need it most. Please help us make it a possibility!
