We reached out to the family of the martyr Fahd after hearing his story and seeing posts about his bravery and subsequent martyrdom while defusing mines planted by the regime in the countryside of Idlib. He wanted to dismantle the mines so people could return to their homes from the camps.
Fahd lived as a displaced person after being injured in an airstrike in 2016. He was a volunteer schoolteacher with expertise in mine dismantling. Despite his debts, he left everything behind and volunteered for this mission until he was martyred.
His brother told us that Fahd had debts amounting to $2,500, including the debt he incurred to purchase the demining device.
Through this email, we aim to show our solidarity with his family, sponsor his four children, and settle his debts. This is the least we can do for a man who sacrificed for us and for his country.
