The displaced are returning to their homelands today with immense longing and nostalgia, carrying the burdens of years spent under the harsh and oppressive reality of tent life. However, they are soon shocked upon their return by a new reality—one even more cruel and devastating. They find nothing but destruction, ruins, and thousands of tons of rubble left behind by Assad's criminal policies, which have also plunged people into severe economic hardship, making it impossible for them to restore their homes.
Understanding the harshness of life in tents and the deep longing for the warmth of our old homes, we are launching this campaign to restore the destroyed homes of the displaced, making them habitable once again. This will allow families to forget the bitterness of tents, their tight spaces, their cold winters, and their scorching summers.
