Due to harsh war conditions, Adnan and his family fled their home in Idlib and settled in an empty tent. They left behind all their things, they had to leave without even taking their clothes. Adnan's wife, Wafdiyah, suffers from glands problems and joint inflammations. Adnan and wafdiyah live with their divorced daughter and their son, who is their only provider.
