In 2012, Nour defected from the army, hoping for a new life. He settled his status in 2018, but that did not protect him from arrest. He was transferred to the Saydnaya branch, where he endured the harshest forms of torture, starvation, and fear, which led to him developing tuberculosis, nerve inflammation, and severe anemia. A medical mistake with a needle in his foot during his detention also left him unable to walk properly.
Nour never expected to see life outside the prison walls again, as he was sentenced to death. However, the day of liberation saved him from execution.
Today, after his release from prison, Nour is unable to work and relies on the kindness of good-hearted people. Our brother Nour is in urgent need of a home that guarantees him a dignified life. Is there someone among you who can help ease the burden of his harsh days?
