In a small room beneath the stairs of an old building, an entire family lives. There’s no kitchen, no bed, no couch, no gas, and not even enough space to allow for a dignified life. The sick mother, Husn, sleeps on a worn-out sofa, and the disabled father sleeps beside his son on the floor.
The family has only one provider, who works a day and is forced to stay jobless for ten. Yet despite their hardship, he insists his mother and father never go without medication, and his widowed sister and her children never sleep hungry. Her husband died in the regime’s prisons, leaving her to face life alone with no support.
