A worn-out tent shelters Mohammad's family – a family overwhelmed by poverty, forced to sleep on a thin mat through cold nights. Mohammad, a 16-year-old boy, was born with a congenital deformity that causes occasional incontinence. He has already undergone three surgeries to reconstruct his anal opening.
Doctors have installed an artificial stoma (a surgical connection between the intestine and the outside of the body) to help him survive.
Due to their dire financial situation, his family can no longer afford the essential medical supplies that ease his pain. Mohammad is still at the beginning of his life—he deserves to live with dignity and peace, like any other teenager.
