After years of displacement in northern camps, Muhammad, an elderly man, returned to his village home only to find it stripped bare—walls empty, devoid of furniture or the simplest comforts of life. Today, he lives in this stolen home with his sister and only son, lying on the floor with nothing but modest pillows and blankets after losing everything during the war. The most heartrending part of Muhammad’s story is his 13-year-old son, born after years of longing, who now faces childhood overshadowed by poverty, illness, and deprivation. Muhammad struggles helplessly to meet his son’s basic needs, with no income and dire circumstances, leaving the boy’s future perilously uncertain. Supporting this family can provide essential relief and protect a childhood teetering on the edge of being lost.
