For the past ten years, Nadia has been living with multiple chronic illnesses, including high blood pressure, hypothyroidism, asthma, and coronary artery disease. She previously underwent a cardiac catheterization and continues to require regular medication and ongoing medical care.
However, the family’s difficult financial situation prevents her from obtaining her treatment consistently. Her husband is unable to work, while her son earns a limited and irregular income that is barely enough to cover basic household needs. As a result, she is sometimes forced to interrupt her medication, despite her urgent and continuous need for it.
In addition to her physical condition, Nadia also suffers from psychological distress caused by the constant fear of her health deteriorating, particularly due to her inability to maintain steady access to treatment.
