I'm Bayan, born on 2/1/2014 in Raqqa. Like all other females, I suffered from injustice and strict rules that could lead to the death penalty. My father was a good man and he was obligated to obey the laws imposed by despots, but he had always treated us decently and let us live freely. Imagine that we were only able to watch TV or listen to music secretly. For several years, Daesh took control of our city. In fact, they took everything from us. One day, on 5/1/2016, my father decided that we should leave Raqqa to any other place because we couldn't bear such a life anymore. At midnight, we did it but unfortunately, someone saw us and started shooting. My father kissed us and told us to run fast and that he would follow us. We did what he said and I started jogging until my heart almost stopped. We saw the bombing fire from afar and arrived at a safe place where we had agreed to meet. My father couldn't catch up with us that night. We were told that he passed away. After that, we lived with some people in a small place. Despite everything I've been through, I go to school and want to achieve my dreams because I have the right to do.
