مريم بنتي رح تطبق السنتين ولأنه ما عندي أغلى منها فكرت كتير بطريقة تكون مميزة وتضل ذكرى حلوة الها بس تكبر وأنا عم فكر فيها وبعيدها اتذكرت انه في أطفال كتير بالخيّم بمر عيد ميلادهم وعم تمر أيام حياتهم بدون فرحة وبدون أي حق حتى من حقوق طفولتهم،لهيك قررت عيدها يكون هنيك بين الخيّم بوالين عيدها والكيكة والشموع هنن يطفوهم والهدايا تتوزع الهم..قررت تبدأ مريم سنتها الجديدة بصوت ضحكاتهم الحلوة
My daughter, Mariam, will soon be two years of age. Her second birthday is coming up and I’ve been thinking to throw her the nicest birthday party. I want my daughter to grow up with her most beautiful memories. For her birthdays and as she grows older, I want to give her nice memories in her birthday so that one day she can look back and reflect on these memories. Then it hit me- I’m sitting here thinking how to throw my daughter the best birthday party, meanwhile, thousands and other babies living in refugee camps don’t even get to have a birthday. Their birthdays pass by unnoticed like a regular day.
