About Ghaith Laboratory - Idlib City

Clinical laboratory testing plays an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Physicians rely on the results of laboratory tests to determine the most appropriate treatment for many medical conditions. As for northern Syria, patients may not be able to undergo the required testing, because they simply can't afford it.

Patients frequently come to our office in Idlib with medical referrals for a lab test that usually costs no more than $12, which is what a Syrian worker earns in four days! This amount is needed to feed his children, so what should one do in case of illness? They might starve if that pittance was spent on a medical test..

Therefore, we decided to open Ghaith Laboratory for Medical Analysis on 19/9/2021 in Idlib, with the aim of conducting various laboratory tests for about 1000 to 1300 patients per month, free of charge. The laboratory serves the city of Idlib and the surrounding areas, and it is the only one there that provides free hormonal tests, unlike all public hospital laboratories. However, it receives patients referred from public hospitals.

Ghaith Laboratory was founded in cooperation with the Ghaith-Jaljuliya Association in Palestine. The operating expenses are covered by individual donations to the respective fund.
